Tinaa is an application that works in conjunction with twitter to help me organize my twitter thoughts with predefined tags.

Tinaa was built because I do a lot of reading on the subway, sans internet connection. I found myself making a lot of notes and eventually started twittering those notes so they were not scribbled down throughout the pages of whatever I was reading. Tinaa provided a way to save and organize those notes, putting them in a useful context.
Tinaa grabs your twitter feed and parses through it looking for instructions such as
- [map] – find place or loacation on a google map, with the ability to set a default location
- [person] – tinaa looks for this person in:
- ????????? o google
- ????????? o facebook
- ????????? o linkedin
- ????????? o myspace
- [lookup] – tina provides a link and thimbnail for the location or a google search if none is provided , and sets your twitter as a note
- [read] – tinaa looks for the title of the resource on amazon
- [listen] – tinaa looks for the title/artist on iTunes
- [todo] – tinaa adds this item to your to do list
- [define] – tinaa looks up the definition of the specified word on dictionary.com
- [grocer] – things to pick up at the grocery
recently I added the functionality for tinaa to grab anything after a colon in your tweet and save it as an editable note. So the syntax is currently:
[tinaaTag] thing to tag: notes that usually make tinaa taged notes more human readable/understandable.
currently I need to:
- setup account setup page
- create a hot/cute web2.0 representation of a robotic secretary
- create a user interface
- create a way to define new categories, and rules for those categories
- take suggestions for new commands
- determine a balanced interval for checking the timeline
- build a prefrence to allow Tinaa to remove your notes, so they are stored wthin Tinaa and not posted on your twitter account (needed?)
- rename to skyylia or Kayvaa
please do not hesitate to comment with suggestions or requests.
I am considering the following additional features:
- ability to email your tweets to tinaa and she will post them for you
- ability to add attachments to emailed tweets, where they will be saved on the server, a tinyURL created for them, and referenced in your tweet
- ability to add images that will be saved on the server and given a tinyURL, referenced in your tweet?
the interface is so basic i’m a bit upset and that will probably be the next thing I tackle (PK?). I am at this time only trying to determine whether or not anyone other than me will use this…
If you would like to participate in the beta – please email me and I will set up an account for you.
